魯冰花-『其學名 "Lupin" 在希臘文裡是「悲苦」的意思，羽扇豆的種子苦澀異常，含在嘴裡， 令人皺眉，看起來似乎很痛苦的樣子，因此它的花語又有另一種「苦澀」的意謂， 反映出時代的悲情，正是魯冰花中那個人定無以勝天的時代小人物的寫照，也有說代表 「母愛」的意思。而白色的羽扇豆更意謂著多才多藝， 就如劇中小男童般揚溢著美術方面的與生才華。』
